Case Manager - Step-by-Step Guide for Setting Up Contacts and Resources

Step 1: Establish Global (District) Contacts

Begin by appointing a district primary contact to oversee communications and case management. This individual can be chosen based on the district's preferences.

Step 2: Integrate Your Student Information System (SIS)

Integrate your district's Student Information System (SIS) with Securly. Our system is designed to seamlessly integrate with any SIS, ensuring the accurate exchange of student information.

Step 3: Set Up Global Contacts

Configure global-level contacts that are accessible and applicable district-wide. These contacts will serve as the foundation for communication and case management.

Step 4: Simplify Contact Information Upload

Streamline the process of uploading contact information for schools, districts, and parents using CSV files. This method simplifies the management of contact data, regardless of your SIS.

Step 5: Select Your Organizational Units (OUs)

Before you create Case Manager Groups, select the Organizational Units (OUs) or security groups in Aware. Case Manager visibility and case routing are scoped to OUs, so they must be in place first — until OUs are selected you won't be able to create Case Manager Groups or assign which cases a group can see.

Step 6: Create Case Manager Groups

Establish groups within the staff tab to handle cases efficiently. These groups can be customized to your district's needs and are vital for effective case management.

Step 7: Access the Securly Dashboard

Log in to the Securly dashboard, the central hub for managing and monitoring cases. Here, you can oversee the entire case management process with ease.

Step 8: Verify System Readiness

To ensure system readiness, initiate a test case. This step validates that your case management system is fully functional and ready to handle real cases effectively.
