Understanding Attendee Max Cap Exceedances in Activities
There are several reasons why the attendee max cap for your activity may be exceeded:
Simultaneous Sign-Ups
One rare instance occurs when two or more students sign up for an activity within milliseconds of each other. In such cases, the system may not be able to recognize this overlap, resulting in an exceeded max cap. To mitigate this issue, teachers can set their max caps to one less than the total number of available seats. This scenario typically arises with choice activities when students are signing up at exactly the same time.
Plus Add Functionality
Another reason your max cap may be exceeded is due to the Plus Add feature, which allows teachers to add students beyond the set max capacity. Additionally, Plus Add can be utilized after the cutoff time when an adult needs to assign an available student to an activity.
